Become a Living Donor
This is a project of a new kind, not a financial giving but a giving of life. There will also never be a project as near and dear to Madi as this one.
In June 2017, Madilyn's Dad was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. Life changed for their family just before midnight on June 26, 2017 when her Father became violently ill.
In September 2018 her Dad was hospitalized again and on November 6, 2018 he was listed on the UNOS national transplant list. After a month of testing, Nick's wife was denied as a donor and they started seeking other donors to come forward. So far, there have been several people willing to give but a few have already been determined not a suitable match.
His best chance of receiving a liver is through a living donor and this is where we need your help to spread the word and find someone who is willing and able to donate.
If you are interested in finding out more information please contact the Johns Hopkins Living Donor Advocate Kathy Lee @ 443-287-9648 and let her know you are interested in becoming a live donor for Nicholas Geidel.
